It’s no secret that we here at the Copyblogger office are huge fans of Sharknado. Whether it’s the ridiculousness of the premise or the sheer amount of destruction that occurs in each episode, we can’t get enough. And now, we have even more reason to love it. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Syfy is developing a Sharknado spinoff called Sharknado: The Final Chapter. What is Sharknado?

“Sharknado” is a movie that is set to release on July 22, 2014. The film is about a tornado that sucks sharks and other large animals into the sky. The movie has been praised for its humor and for being over the top. “Sharknado” is sure to be a hit with audiences.

The Plot of Sharknado

After the success of the 2004 horror film, Sharknado, Ian Ziering and Tara Reid reprised their roles as Tara Reid’s husband and mother, respectively. The two were set to star in a new sequel called Sharknado 2: The Second One. However, on July 1st, 2017, it was announced that the sequel had been cancelled due to financial reasons.

When it was announced that SyFy was making a movie based off of the 2009 internet sensation Sharknado, many people were psyched. The fan base for this absurdly absurd B-movie series just got bigger when it was announced that original stars Tara Reid and Ian Ziering would reprise their roles as FEMA worker April O’Neil and news anchor David Finlay. advertising

 

The cast of Sharknado is rounded out by new additions including comedian Jeff Goldblum, who voices the main villain, a giant shark known as the Titan, and Heather Graham, who plays TV reporter Kaitlin Olson. Kevin Bacon also makes an appearance as scientist Neil Fisher.

 

Much like the original series, Sharknado is all about ridiculous circumstances leading to carnage. In this movie, Finlay and O’Neil are in California trying to cover a storm when all hell breaks loose. The titular sharks start attacking Los Angeles with unprecedented ferocity, and soon the city is in total chaos.

What to Expect from Sharknado

If you’re a fan of Sharknado, then you’re going to love the movie coming out this year. Sharknado is a classic B-movie that’s been remade countless times and translated to film, but this time it’s different. This time it’s a real movie with an all-star cast and directed by the man behind The Day After Tomorrow.

 

If you’re not familiar with Sharknado, it’s basically a tornado made out of sharks that sweeps across the US causing destruction. In the movie, Ian Ziering (from Baywatch) stars as Fin they fly into the storm to save their loved ones. Tara Reid (from The House Bunny) plays his wife who is pregnant and Mark McGrath (from Wedding Crashers) plays his best friend who is also married. Other famous actors in the cast include John Goodman (from Roseanne), Laura Linney (from The Big C), and Andy Dick (known for his role on Mad TV).

 

The movie was shot over 15 days in Los Angeles and features an all-new score by composers Brandon Roberts and Jorma Taccone from Tenacious D. Fans of the show will recognize some of the set pieces from the show like L.A.’s Universal Studios and Ferris Wheel – which was destroyed during filming!
