As the daughter of Dr Walter John Bayard and Ruth Alice Salanger Bayard whom she worshipped, Amanda was a shining light. Amanda graduated in 2000 from Dreyer High School in Columbia, South Carolina. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Savannah earned a master’s degree in fine arts in film and television from the College of Art and Design, where she was top of her graduate class. Amanda Bayard was a force to be reckoned with. A true success, she found success in film and television. The show won her three Emmy Awards and her two Peabody Awards while she was the producer of her segment on HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. She loved movies, movies, dancing, and music, especially Talking her Heads. Memories of her signature smile, red lips, sharp sense of humour, flawless complexion, dazzling hazel eyes, and a loving, happy and open mind are cherished. Most of all, her lively spirit and abandonment of convention inspired us all to be ourselves.
